'Autumn Colours' - Stamping with the Dragon New Challenge!

Hello All,

and welcome to my scrapbooking and cardmaking blog.

My post today is for the new challenge starting over at the  Stamping with the Dragon challenge blog today.  Our theme is 'Autumn Colours' and  a great Stamping Dragon image of   Penny's apples  to use for the project. The Stamping Dragon also has a beautiful paper pack called  Autumn Rainbow   with wonderful rich colours of Autumn to go with this theme.  Stamping with the Dragon also sponsor this challenge and the lucky winner will receive a voucher to spend in the Online store.

Penny's Apples

I chose to start with another 5x5 tentfold card from white cardstock. I used my Copics to colour the digital image of Penny, choosing to make her a Yellow/Orange Dragon with a red bow in her hair. To keep with the 'Autumn Colours' theme I added some squares of Dark Brown and Kraft card to the cardbase which I had already covered with a suitable coloured patterned paper. I put the Kraft card through my Big Shot with aWood Grain effect embossing folder. This added another layer of texture. The Dark Brown square has a  corner with a filigree  cut-out and distressed edges to add a little interest. I finished the card with some white bakers twine  wrapped around the Dark Brown square and tied off with a flower button.

And that is it for now. Now its your turn. Time to get crafting, and once your projects are ready, dont forget to come back and link up to our challenge

And don't for the winner is a £5 voucher to the Stamping Dragon store.

Back in the Craft Saddle and a New Stamping Dragon Challenge.

Hello and welcome to my Scrapbooking and, for this post, cardmaking blog.

My post for today is my DT project for the new challenge running over at the Stamping Dragon  challenge blog and our theme this time is Dragons. Stamping Dragon also sponsor the challenge and the winner will be the recipient of the Gift Voucher to spend in the on-line store.

I've made my card using the 'Jiggy says ops' digital stamp from the Stamping Dragon selection. Great image for the Christmas card making and fun to colour.

I found my Copic markers recently ( most of my stuff is still wating to be unpacked) so I thought I'd give them an airing by colouring in the digital image. I really like how the Copic blend.  Mine have been in storage for nearly a year now and they were a fresh as when I first got them. I can't say that for some other brands of alcohol pens. Ihave added a list of the Copics used at the end of this post.

My card base is a tent-fold A6 card using some light brown cardstock. I ran the 'front' of the card through my Big Shot using the large Christmas Set embossing folder from Sizzix. I rubbed the embossed side with an Archival Brilliance 'Moonlight White' ink pad to  highlight the embossed snowflakes and  from my stash I added some strips of festive coloured paper to the lower part of the card. The red frame was made using the Lea'bilities Leanne005 cutting die and cutting it to fit the front of the card. I then attached the label; which coincidentially matched the colour of the cardstock and tied it with a red satin ribbon. Some flatback gems and a felt Christmas tree complete the card.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas from Jiggy

Things are not quite back to anything like normal in the craft space, still not started on the painting, but it was great to be back dabbling with inks and paper and sparkley things. Love it!

And that is it from us for this time. Now its your turn. Time to get crafting, and once your projects are ready, don't forget to  link up to our challenge.
